Beware! Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center is haunted! A spell has been cast which will once again transform the mill into the annual SPOOKY MILL on Saturday, October 12th from 2PM -9PM.
Join us for our beloved Spooky Mill celebration! This event has become a signature fundraiser for Autrey Mill Nature Preserve, where we blend science, nature, and history in a wonderfully "spooktacular" way. The funds raised from Spooky Mill directly support our animal care, ensure that children in need can participate in our programs and school break camps, and allow families to enjoy our Visitor Center at no cost.
Your family is encouraged to dress in their scariest, silliest or wackiest costumes and join them for this rain or shine event.
Activities for all ages:
For the youngest ghosts and ghouls, we will have a bounce house obstacle, carnival games, crafts, and spooky stories.
Recently, Autrey Mill hosted the Paranormal Detectives of Georgia, in affiliation with the Atlantic Paranormal Society TAPS from the TV show Ghost Hunters. They explored our historic buildings using the latest ghost-hunting technology. We’re thrilled to have them join us again at Spooky Mill on October 12th from 4 PM to 8 PM, turning Autrey Mill into a haunt for our older ghouls and ghosts!
Entry into the event, parking and trick-or-treating is FREE! Single $1 tickets will be sold for food and other activities.

Spooky Mill provides families with a safe and kid friendly environment for Halloween Family Fun. This event will offer families a chance to Trick-or-Treat in the Heritage Village, become spooked in the (not too scary) Haunted House, jump around in a bouncy houses, enjoy concessions, great games, fun activities, and lots more!
