From coding, to design to AR, Kids 4 Coding teaches kids ages 7-14 the most sought-after tech skills. Using top programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript & Cybersecurity in an engaging environment, our students learn to build and code robots, develop mobile apps, create 3D worlds, design games and experiment with virtual and augmented reality. Scratch is a free programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations with visual (block-based) coding. + Kids will build and code VEX GO robots and participate in team challenges throughout the week. VEX GO takes computer science off of the screen and puts it into students' hands. It helps students perceive coding and engineering in an exciting new way!

Students will learn how to tell a good story, logically sequence events, and model real situations with Tynker, a block-based coding platform. + Drop the digital into the real world with MetaBot™ – the first augmented reality robot designed for education. Kids will build programs for their bot with drag-and-drop (visual) programming and experiment with other compatible augmented reality platforms.

Kids embark on a cool week of making Minecraft game modifications "Mods" and Redstone. Students will learn how to effectively use Redstone to create lights, build devices, raise bridges, move water and more.  We connect the "power source" theme in Redstone with hands-on learning using circuits and Micro: bits (a small circuit board used to create animations, interactive projects, and games).

Minecrafters wake up in a bunker beneath the summit of Mt. Everest (after a 200 year slumber). They must work together to balance environmental concerns with the demands of technological progress. + Coding becomes tangible with our friendly robot, Codey Rocky! Students will code the robots to perform tasks and compete in team challenges while learning about AI and the Internet of Things.

RPG Maker (a Japanese Role Playing Game) teaches students how to use icons, sprites, and basic graphic design while creating an immersive story, characters, and environment using a popular platform for developing 2D games. This program allows designers to get behind the game and make their own from scratch.

Students create and code their first game in Roblox Studio while learning how to use scripts, variables and loops for in-game visual effects.  While many kids are familiar with player mode in Roblox, the Studio takes their skills to the next level with Lua programming (similar to Python) and custom features to develop a game of their own creation.

Game Maker is a professional platform used to program, design, and animate games for all modern computer platforms as well as mobile devices and consoles. Realistically animated characters are put in motion with a sophisticated physics engine. Students will be able to share their projects and will have the opportunity to distribute their game worldwide.

Teens learn the building blocks of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, along with the history of web design from the 1990's onward. Students create a basic portfolio and learn beginner-advanced coding skills using Glitch and Codepen.  Sample projects include an introduction to tags, elements, attributes and the structure of a basic web page, as well as functions, variables and events in JS (plus special effects & chatbots).
