  • Johns Creek Recreation & Parks and Johns Creek Police present this Spooktacular Halloween-themed event for the entire family to enjoy.  Wear your best costume for this community event that features candy, treats, and activities for kids, and refreshments! This year's event will be held at Johns Creek City Hall & JCPD Headquarters, 11360 Lakefield Drive (in Technology Park).
    ***FYI: Shuttle Parking will be located at State Farm, South Lot, 11350 Johns Creek Pkwy (Entrance off Lakefield Dr.) and World Financial Group, 11315 Johns Creek Pkwy. *We will not have parking available in the Police Department parking lot.*

  • Superheroes, pirates and other cue critters are invited to dress up and enjoy this annual spooktacular Halloween Dance. We will play games, have a costume contest and do the monster mash! Light refreshments are included.

  • Experience the 36th annual Halloween Hike through the forest to meet woodland creatures and hear about how they live. The perfect non-scary alternative to traditional Halloween events.  Cost $12 per person, Children 2 and under are FREE

πŸŒ™7, 7:30 & 8PM: Treetop Quest's 2 Hour Fright Climb

  • Would you dare to venture into the forest at night? Join us for a nighttime excursion guided by your
    headlamp and the moonlight! Explore the spooky forest canopy for 2 hours. 
    Minimum age of 15.  


SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23:

πŸš‚11 AM -3PM: Train or Treat at Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth. 

  • This annual family-favorite event where ghouls, goblins and superheroes can trick or treat at decorated stations around the museum. Attendees 12 years and younger are eligible to participate in a costume contest with prizes. The special event will also feature live music and visiting vendors from local businesses.
  • The event is included in regular museum admission.

  • The Easter Seals North Georgia Family Festival will be from 11AM - 4PM in Thrasher Park. 
  • FREE to ESNG families-$1.00 per activity for the general public
    Raffles, Snow Cones, Popcorn and Games include:
    Face Paint, Princess Crowns, STEM Activities, Limbo, Long jump, Obstacle course, Tug of War, Hop Scotch, Corn Hole, Spin the Wheel
    Ring Toss, Bubbles, and Jump House create a superhero mask and more. Fun for the Entire Family!
  • FREE SPOOKY SPRINT FUN RUN (AGES 9 AND UNDER) We encourage that you dress in costume for a quick dash around Thrasher Park or around your block! This is a non-timed event but all will get medals for participation and a special prize. MUST REGISTER TO PARTICIPATE!
  •  RUN, WALK, ROLL OR STROLL in your neighborhood or come out to Thrasher Park. You can also participate in the race VIRTUALLY as a group or as an individual. This event is fun for all while raising funds for our children. We hope we can continue to count on you to be part of our success in this GREAT event!
    Price: $25.00 Race Fee + $2.45 SignUp Fee

πŸ§™5-8 PM: FREE Howl-O-ween Family Fall Fest & MOVIE at the Forum- Peachtree Corners

  • Join us in costume with your pets and family and enjoy a pet costume contest, pet adoption with Angels Among Us, trick-or-treating with select retailers, a doggy splash zone, face painting, pet-friendly vendors, a caricaturist, pumpkin patch and pumpkin decorating, howl-o-ween photo ops and.. to finish the night off, cozy up with your chairs and blankets and stay for a evening movie showing of Hocus Pocus with a special visit from the Hocus Pocus cast themselves!

  • Howl on the Green is a family friendly event. Bring your kids, friends and furry pets for a night filled of fun, sweet treats, great food and out-of-this-world entertainment on Duluth Town Green! The event turns into fright at dark. Fire dancers make their way through the crowds as mystical creatures emerge, while aerialists hang from the Festival Center Stage and dancing iconic fairytale characters light up the night! There is surprising entertainment for everyone to enjoy!

  • In what has become an Aurora Children’s Playhouse holiday tradition, the Halloween Magic Show with Atlanta magician Arthur Atsma returns this year. Arthur Atsma will amaze and amuse folks of all ages with a show filled with captivating sleight of hand magic, audience interaction, and comedy. Reservations are strongly recommended for this popular performance!

  • Spooky Mill is an all-day event designed to spook and delight through a series of stations. The stations will include a bounce slide, crafts, carnival games, pumpkin painting, and more! Our event will end with a haunted hike. Each station will cost anywhere from 1 to 5 tickets. Tickets will be available to purchase in bundles of 5 at the ticket booth when you arrive. $5 = 5 tickets.

    • Junior Spooky: 1 PM – 4 PM
      Junior Spooky will feature activities and games suitable for our younger visitors! Join us for an “Interview with a Vampire Bat” and stay for a spooky puppet show presented by Hall of Cryptids! Junior Spooky is fun for the whole family!
    • Ooky Spooky: 6 PM – 9 PM
      Ooky Spooky is for our guests looking for more of a thrill! Visit our Serpent House and stay for a Night Hike through the forests of Autrey Mill. The night hike will be an educational hike with some scares along the way! Learn all about the animals that come out at night as we explore the forest.

  • This is our annual Halloween dance. Calling all ghost, ghouls and creatures that fright...let's celebrate all things that go bump in the night! Superheroes, pirates, and other cute critters are invited to dress up and enjoy this spooktacular event! Put on your favorite costume and boogie to live music. Light refreshments. Parent/Guardian supervision required. Ages 4 and up, $10 per person
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 31:

πŸ’€Noon- 5 PM: FREE:  Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) at Atlanta History Center

  • Visitors of all ages can experience an authentic Day of the Dead celebration as if they were in the streets of Mexico.  Enjoy traditional dancing, crafts, authentic Mexican food, and entertainment; immerse yourself in a stunning display of altars honoring family and friends who have passed; and sing to the sound of Mariachi.  Wear your favorite Day of the Dead costume and paint your face mask with skulls, skeletons, and cempasúchil flowers. While the event is free and open to the public, capacity is limited, and advanced registration is required.
