Believing the most heartfelt messages for Valentine’s Day are personalized and sent by mail, not text or tweet, incurable romantics are expected to once again send Valentine cards by the thousands to Post Offices across the country who participate in the Valentine Re-Mailing Program to request that their letters go out with the coveted hand-stamped Valentine postmark.

One of the most popular locations in the country is Juliette, GA, which receives around 4,000 letters each year to be re-mailed from as far away as Italy, France, and Japan.

For over 20 years, the Romeo, MI, and Juliette, GA, have partnered to offer a Valentine’s Day pictorial postmark featuring the theme of Romeo and Juliet. Sweethearts can have their valentine cards postmarked in Juliette, GA, with this year’s official identical-dual pictorial cancellation postmark featuring a special silhouette of sweethearts expressing their love for the holiday.  This same unique cancellation will be applied in Romeo, MI

For another special touch, you can order Love Forever stamps issued by the Postal Service to add to your Valentine greetings this year. Click HERE to order.

NOTE: Your cards MUST have proper postage (now $0.50) when they reach the  Post Office or they will be returned to you instead of delivered to your recipient!
