#WIN: TICKETS TO BUFORD CORN MAZE

Buford Corn Maze Offers Fall Family Fun

By Rachel Horlacher, Publisher of Lawrenceville-Buford-Winder Macaroni Kid October 1, 2020

Fall, my favorite time of the year... the smells, the tastes, and the endless amounts of family memories to make along the way. Summer is fun with the pool, but I can only handle being outside for small periods of time, however, when fall rolls around, I love to bask in the sun and stay outside as much as possible.

Buford Corn Maze is a great option for hours of family fun! One admission gets each child one ride down the slide, plus unlimited amounts of times through the corn maze, jumping pillow, hayride, and animal encounters. You do have to purchase tickets for everyone in your party. This is also an excellent activity to do with grandparents since it's not too strenuous and you can't get too lost in the corn maze. We took my parents along to help wrangle the kids as my husband wasn't available to accompany us this time.

The corn maze has two options, the long route and the short route. We chose the long route and gave everyone, except the little one, a chance to lead the way on the map. The goal is not only to escape the maze but to get 6 stamps along the way to prove that you really completed the maze. Here is a little clip of everyone when they got the last punch.

We jumped on the hayride which took us around the maze and into the forest where we saw spiders in the trees and other wildlife. To round the night out we ate hot boiled peanuts which is a Southern delicacy and I suggest everyone to try, even my husband who did not grow up here likes them. They also sell more substantial food, we just chose the peanuts.

Other activities include a jumping pillow, a slide, a corn box, and pony rides (extra fee). For families with brave souls 10 years and over, they also have haunted forest once it gets dark.

My family had a blast and we look forward to this fall activity every year. It has become a family tradition. As soon as we left, my 7-year old son asked when we can go again.

What Buford Corn Maze is Doing About COVID-19:

  • Sign Saying Masks are Required, but most people were not following that rule
  • All Employees had Masks on
  • Social Distance, it is all outside, so easy to social distance from each other
  • Would not recommend for someone ultra precautious about COVID
  • Overall, I am not suggesting you go if you do not feel comfortable around small crowds
