CANCELLED!! IRISH FEST IN DOWNTOWN NORCROSS ON SATURDAY, MARCH 14

March 9, 2020

SORRY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

The City of Norcross is excited to announce a collaboration with St. Patrick's Catholic Church (celebrating their 100th anniversary!) to bring you the 3rd Annual Norcross St. Patrick's Day celebration on March 14 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The entirety of S. Peachtree Street will be closed to accommodate the festivities--downtown merchants will be offering Irish-themed activities and fare to mark the occasion and outside you will find music, dancing, face painting and more! FREE and open to the public and 100% family-friendly, this is an event you do not want to miss.

TRADITIONAL IRISH BREAKFAST
Start with a hearty, traditional Irish Breakfast-okay, maybe it's more Brunch-at the Norcross Masonic Lodge at 11 a.m. This will be a delectable feast of eggs, rasher, black and white pudding, beans, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and toast. The tickets are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children, available in advance at Taste of Britain or at the door. The proceeds are a fundraiser for the Masonic Lodge.

LIVE MUSIC AND DANCING
Tap your feet and clap your hands to the beat as river dancers from the Drake School of Irish Dance as well as the King O'Sullivan School and Carpenter Irish Dance take the stage. You can also learn to jig yourself and join in the fun! Plus, don't miss music from The Gentry and Kathleen Donohue, and of course everyone's favorite emcee, M.C. Lexx.

FACE PAINTING, LEPRECHAUNS AND MORE!
Snap a selfie with Norcross' resident Leprechauns, and if you forget to wear green, don't worry-stop by the face painting booth and ask for a shamrock. Raffles are being held throughout the day by various downtown merchants as well as St. Patrick's Church, and there will even be a short play this year sponsored by the church. For lunch, check out the food vendors sponsored by St Patrick's Catholic Church or one of the many downtown restaurants offering special menus featuring Irish favorites and inspired fare such as corned beef and cabbage, Irish coffee, Reuben strombolis, specialty cocktails and green beer.

There are so many fun and exciting festivities taking place downtown this St. Paddy's Day, so put on something green and come on out to Irish Fest 2020! Sláinte Mhaith!
