#WIN: 4 TICKETS TO LICENSE TO CHILL SNOW ISLAND AT LANIER ISLANDS

Open weekends (plus MLK Day) through February 23rd!

January 13, 2020

Margaritaville at Lake Lanier Islands is definitely the "hottest" place to be in summer, but did you know it's also the "coolest"  place to be in winter? That's right! The beach is transformed into Snow Island and gives you a "License to Chill"!

Get your adrenaline fix at Snow Island tubing on the 575 feet long, 8-story high Parrot Mountain slide, which is one of the fastest snow rides in North America! Take a spin around the ice rink, bounce in the inflatables at LandShark Landing, or just play in the snow at Snow Island until February 23, 2020!

Maria Vargas, Macaroni Kid Co-Publisher from Lawrenceville recently visited License to Chill Snow Island with her family. Read all about their visit below:

I love sharing about places you can enjoy with your whole family. This time, it’s all about Snow Island at Lanier Islands. I would never have thought that this laid-back, fun in the sun gem would have a wintery theme, but it sure does deliver its promise on creating memorable moments even in the winter.

First, I want to highlight the License to Chill Snow Island. In the summer, it's the wave pool area filled with water attractions, but now, it's completely transformed into a winter wonderland. This area is filled with carnival rides, a snow play area and the grand Parrot Mountain for snow tubing. With over twenty attractions, there is something for every one in your family to enjoy. I did the math on what an average person above 42” can enjoy here and it averages to $3 a ride with the an all attraction pass. Plus, you will actually end up repeating a few of the attractions and spend endless hours playing. So, the value is worth it my friends!

After the family and I went snow tubing and rode quite a few carnival rides, we hitched a “hayride” (on the sand) for dinner at the Landshark Bar & Grill. No only was the food was super delicious, the staff was very attentive and friendly and it was reasonably priced.  We really enjoyed the live entertainment and there are attractions set up here just for the little ones.  After dinner visit the two large fire pits where you can make s'mores for dessert!

After some refueling, we headed back to Snow Island for some ice skating. Even the little ones can enjoy this attraction because they also offer a skate mate frame to hold onto while skating. The rink is a nice  size and the skates are in good condition. Considering that ice skating was a new experience for my kids, they had a great time despite a few falls. After a bit of cardio, we completed our winter adventure with a stop at the gift shop for a sweet ending of s’mores and hot chocolate!
