Right outside Atlanta, in Braselton, Ga, my family enjoyed a free tour of Mayfield Dairy Farms! It is here, that Mayfield milk products are born. My kids loved seeing everything from how milk products were made, to browsing in the gift shop, to purchasing their favorite scoop of ice cream in the old fashioned ice cream parlor! This is a tour you don’t want to miss, and sure to keep everyone’s attention!
Milking machines, utters and lots of brown cows are some of the spectacles you’ll see on this fabulous tour of one of the freshest milk plants in the country. My kids learned why yellow milk jugs are used for storage and how this aids in the freshness of the milk. Plus, we all got the unique opportunity to milk a very special cow! You will have to see what I mean. A definite must do!
