Aurora Theatre is proud to kick off its 31st Season with one of the most beloved musicals of all time, Annie, running August 20 through September 13, 2026. Featuring iconic songs, lovable characters, and a story that has inspired generations, this Broadway favorite reminds audiences of all ages that hope, kindness, and optimism can change everything.
Based on the classic Little Orphan Annie comic strip, Annie follows the adventures of a spirited young orphan determined to find the family she's always dreamed of. After escaping the strict Miss Hannigan's orphanage, Annie's journey leads her to billionaire Oliver Warbucks, where an unexpected friendship changes both of their lives forever. Featuring legendary songs including Tomorrow, It's the Hard Knock Life, and Maybe, Annie continues to delight generations with its humor, heart, and enduring message that brighter days are always ahead.

Directed by Bethany Irby Okie, with musical direction by Imani Quiñones and choreography by Kari Twyman Walker, Aurora Theatre's production brings fresh energy and heartfelt performances to this timeless classic.
The cast includes Mary Taylor and Eve Oliver, who share the title role of Annie, alongside Chris Damiano* as Oliver Warbucks, Destiny Danielle as Grace Farrell, Wendy Melkonian* as Miss Hannigan, Lawrence Flowers* as Rooster, and Charis Sellick as Lily while also appearing in the ensemble.
