Mini Art Camp for Wee Ones (ages 4-7)

Little ones get creative and discover art basics of color, line, form, design, composition

  • June 1-5; 10-11:30 AM daily


Exploring the Visual Arts
 (ages 7-12)
Energized and interactive camp where children explore a variety of media, have fun creating, participate in art activities and visit with guest artists

  • Week-long sessions run 9 AM - 3 PM daily
  • Sessions: June 8-12, 15-19, 22-26; July 6-10, 13-17, 20-24

 

Teen Summer Art Experience (ages 13-17)
Explore the principles of design, drawing, painting and mixed media

  • July 27-31; 10 AM - 2:30 PM daily

 

Movie Star Camp (ages 8-15)
Learn how to act for the camera, receive a starring role in a short movie, walk the red carpet at annual movie premiere this fall.  Led by an experienced director from Popcorn Media, who has worked for Disney and Nickelodeon studios.  Camp includes script, speaking role in movie and two premiere tickets

  • July 6-10; 9 AM - 3 PM daily

Summer Art Classes:


Creative Clayworks (ages 6+)
Create varied whimsical projects using clay

  • Mondays, 4:00 - 5:30 PM
  • Sessions:  May 18-July 20 (8 weeks); July 27-August 31 (6 weeks)


Teen Drawing, Mixed Media, Portfolio
 (ages 14+)
Assistance for young artists to develop comfort with rendering a subject, build upon skills, and create a body of artwork for a portfolio

  • Mondays, 5:30 - 7:30 PM
  • Sessions (6 weeks):  June 8-July 20; July 27-August 31

 

Camera Fun (ages 9-13)
Shoot still life, landscape, portraits, abstracts.  Learn the camera and how to improve images

  • Wednesdays, 4-5:30pm
  • Sessions (6 weeks):  June 3-July 15; July 22-August 26

Big Thinkers Camps (ages 5-12)
Interactive, fun, hands-on exploration into the awesome world of science!  THINK BIG by scientifically engaging with the world around us with innovative experiments, cool demonstrations and outdoor activities.  Camp includes two trips each week to the pool, plus a presentation for parents on last day.

  • Weekly sessions, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

 
Rockets and Sprockets (June 8-12)
From mechanical birds to space shuttles, soar away!  Build and launch a rocket, create a catapult, build a balsa wood plane, race radio-controlled aircraft


Destination Exploration (June 15-19)
Perfect for budding young scientists!  From leaf cells to sound waves, super nova to slime, have a blast getting hands-on with earth, life and physical sciences


Gadgets and Gizmos (July 20-24)
Explore the fascinating world of engineering, robotics and mechanics!  Control “battle bots,” build bridges, create electrical circuits, even race mouse-trap cars


Chem Lab Extreme (July 27-31)
It’s all about radical reactions in this camp, so mix it up for a week of fizzy fun!  Make slippery slime, create foggy dry ice storms, erupt sudsy bottles, and more

Babysitter Boot Camp (ages 12-17)
Learn the business of being a great babysitter!  Become what every parent looks for when hiring a babysitter…someone with safety skills, etiquette and the ability to choose age appropriate, fun activities for their child.  Pick up tips on how to market yourself as a babysitter too.  

  • Three-day camps meet 1-5pm daily
  • Sessions: June 8-10, June 23-25, July 13-15
