Camp Details (Ages 10- 14):

Emergency Vet
Lessons will give campers the opportunity to look into the real and exciting field of Veterinary Medicine. Campers will meet practitioners in the field, pet groomers, and be involved with several hands-on experiments! Each camper will receive their very own medical kit!

Advanced Emergency Vet
This camp covers a broad range of topics including an extensive survey of animal anatomy featuring a comprehensive animal dissection (likely a rat or rodent), which includes neutering and suturing. Campers will spend a considerable time using the microscope as they study a variety of bacteria and parasite that prey on our favorite pets. This camp is for 10 year olds and older. Our basic emergency veterinarian camp is helpful, but not a prerequisite.

Video Game Maker
Campers will start with our special Video Game Creation program, designed for the absolute beginner. If your child is an aspiring game maker with no idea where to start, this is the software for them. The software uses a "shooter style" game engine; therefore, it is ideal for making their own shooting games. For returning campers, and those campers that master our beginner's software program, we have advanced software which allows campers to go as far as they want in the course of the week. This includes shooter style, platform and maze type games.

CSI
Campers will learn to become Crime Scene Investigators during actual crime scene setups! Campers will learn how law enforcement professional solve crimes and meet real professional Crime Scene Investigators, K-9 Handlers and Forensic Pathologists. You'll use the tools used in the field to collect evidence. Campers will learn how a crime is actually solved and learn how Biology, Chemistry and Physics plays a major role in the investigation!

Advanced CSI
Campers will become advanced forensic scientists for the week! Campers will analyze and gather evidence for a number of fictitious crime scenes, use luminal and UV light to detect the presence of blood, complete a blood spatter analysis, take crime scene photographs, complete a drug and poison analysis and much more!

Robot Inventor
Campers will learn about the Science of Robotics with information on famous inventors, major innovations, and breakthroughs and advances in robot history. Newton's Laws will be emphasized all week and each camper will receive three Robot Kits to work on. Campers will be able to take home their remote controlled robots!

This year Club Scientific will be featuring our 3-in-1 All Terrain Robot kit and our new Solar Space Fleet. In addition to these projects campers will be learning how to solder with our space alarm-soldering project. ). These are skills, which are a must for anyone taking courses in robotics or electronics.

The 3-in-1 All Terrain Robot is a multi-function tracked mobile robotic kit. Utilize different track modules and make your robot transform into 3 amazing variations: the forklift, rover, and gripper. Using the wired controller, command the robot to move forward, backward, turn, grip and lift.

The Solar Space Fleet Kit is an innovative solar powered science kit that can transform into seven different lunar modules and energized via direct sunlight or micro rechargeable battery.

Chef Scientific
Food Network watch out! Camp Chef Scientific is designed for campers ages 9 - 14. to explore the science behind cooking while learning cooking basics. Chefs will make their own recipes and take home extras to share with their families when available. This is a course for beginning "Chefs", and will include a variety of breakfast, Mexican, and party recipes.

Special Effects
This is the first camp ever offered by Club Scientific! Newly revised and more exciting than ever, campers learn the science behind Hollywood's special effects. Activities will demonstrate concepts related to light, sound, perception, illusion, and model building. One of the great features of this camp is that all campers will create (and take home!) a movie using techniques in Claymation and Stop-Motion Animation. Lessons include plot development, storyboarding, set building, filming, and sound effects.

Campers will also learn various special effects make-up techniques working with the same materials used by professional make-up artists. They will simulate cuts, bruises, artificial blood, and old age. Is there a future movie director living in your house? This is a camp your child won't want to miss! Please have your moviemaker bring a 4G Flash Drive to camp to save their movie.

Emergency Medicine
Campers learn about important life saving techniques including first aid and CPR. Numerous hands-on projects including: mammalian heart dissection, using medical instruments, triage and diagnosis. Explore the structures and physiology of the amazing human body. Career opportunities are discussed as campers meet a real nursing professional. Each camper will receive a stethoscope and certificate at the end of the week. This camp is for 10-14 year old boys and girls only.

Scibot
Campers learn about advanced robotic construction techniques using our Humanoid Robotic Technology. The Humanoid Robotic design system offers students an exciting platform for learning about areas rich with career opportunities spanning science, technology, engineering and math. Beyond science and engineering principals, a Humanoid Robotics project encourages teamwork, leadership and problem solving among groups. Each camper will take home their own exciting Humanoid Robot. There is also a new Vibrobot soldering project. We highly recommend taking our Camp Robot Inventor prior to this camp. This camp is for 10-14 year old boys and girls only.

Deep Space
Engaging does not even start to describe this camp which combines solid fuel rocketry and LEGO® bricks. This NXT-based space adventure is designed for use with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® components and software. Our program for the week provides everything needed to facilitate an exciting STEM-based robocamp. STEM stands for: Science-Technology-Engineering-Math, and is a fundamental part of this camp by providing a hands-on minds-on environment. We will combine the experience with Estes Rocket Labs as campers design and build their own rockets. When they are finished, they watch their rockets blast toward the stratosphere!

Advanced 3D Game Design with Minecraft
“Minecraft is a block-building sandbox game with no set rules, where you can build anything you can possibly imagine. Allowing players to build, explore, create, collaborate, and even survive, Minecraft has created a new type of gaming environment. For veteran gamers, this camp will assist your survival and creativity as you learn to new strategies from the creators themselves.

This camp is for those campers that have already been playing Minecraft. Campers learn how to make modifications and use Redstone to expand their creative abilities.

All campers are required to have a Minecraft™ account for this class. Purchase a standard account and desktop version of Minecraft™ ($26.95) at minecraft.net/store. Campers should bring their account login when they come to camp.
