The holiday tradition returns as Mannheim Steamroller presents its 30th Anniversary Christmas Concert on November 22 at the Fox Theatre.
Grammy Award-winning producer and composer Chip Davis is the mastermind behind Mannheim, the acclaimed New Age/Renaissance rock band mash-up that released a runaway hit Yuletide album in 1984. It soon became the biggest-selling Christmas act in history, selling close to 40 million records with 16 gold records, 7 platinum and 4 multi-platinum awards.
Mannheim Steamroller is the only group to ever perform twice at the annual Lighting of the National Christmas Tree Ceremony, first during the Bill Clinton and then during the George W. Bush Administrations.
Davis himself directs and co-produces this show, which features Mannheim's signature acoustic-electronic seasonal hits performed live, accompanied by impressive visual effects.
