PEACE PIPES & TALKING LEAVES

November is American Indian Heritage Month. In honor of this, the Gwinnett Environmenta & Heritage Center will feature a special program, Peace Pipes & Talking Leaves, on Saturday, November 8 at 11AM and again at noon. 

Barry Stewart Mann of Arts for Learning (Woodruff Arts Center), tells about the lives of three historical figures - Nancy Ward, Dragging Canoe and Sequoyah and shares knowledge of the culture of the Cherokee people. Learn about the Seven Clans, the Green Corn Ceremony, Cherokee Stickball, and the stories of Star Girl, the Healing Lake, and the Animal Ballgame. 

Explore children's games and activities during your visit and enjoy hands-on activities that highlight the Cherokee and Creek culture. It is an engaging experience for the whole family! 
 
PERFORMANCES:
11am and Noon on Saturday, November 8.

TICKETS:
Included with Center admission: Adults $7.50, Students 13-22 with ID $5.50, Children 3-12 $3.50, Children 2 and under and EHC members FREE.
