What is LIGHT UP THE CORNERS?
A glowing, flashing, blinking, shining, night time running party and fundraiser in one! This event is sure to Light Up The (Peachtree) Corners AND Light Up A Life! All proceeds from the event go to benefit less fortunate children and families in our community who are struggling by giving them the chance to participate in life-enhancing programs and activities at the Fowler YMCA.
It's All about the fun!
The two events, the 4 Mile Run and 1k Twilight Trot, will be a one-of-a-kind night time experience that is less about how fast you run or walk and more about much fun you have! The course will be lined with blinking lights to illuminate the way and participants will be given glow sticks, a glow necklace, and other glow bling to light up the course as you run/walk. There will be contests for the "glowiest" men, women, boys, girls, and teams. So, strap on as much glowing bling as you can find and come light up the course with your friends and family! Whether you are a fast runner, a weekend jogger, or a casual walker you are invited to be a part of the first annual LIGHT UP THE CORNERS event.
What do runners get??
Runners and Walkers can register as individuals, or sign up as part of a team. Teams are made up of four or more runners. All runners and walkers participating in either event will receive the following:
- Technical, quick-dry T-shirt with reflective, fluorescent logos
- Glow items to ensure you glow on the course!
- Safe, designated, coned-off lane for running
- Entry to the Post Race After Party
- Coupons for lots of free and discounted stuff at THE FORUM
- One of the best race experiences of your life!
Register In-Person at New Balance
The FORUM's headquarters for race registration: NEW BALANCE store. Feel free to pick up and drop off race registration forms at NEW BALANCE store or at the Fowler YMCA.
Team Registration (4 or more)
Grab some friends and sign up as a team and save $5 per registration. Teams must sign up on registration form only (not online). Please put your team name on registration form and get glowed up for a chance at winning the "glowiest" team contest!
