The Other Ugly Duckling Makes a Splash at Center for Puppetry Arts
Renowned Spanish Artists Put Charming Spin on Classic Tale
WHAT: Guyi-Guyi: The Other Ugly Duckling by Periferia Teatro de Títeres of Murcia, Spain
Acclaimed Spanish puppet company, Periferia Teatro de Títeres, performs the English/Spanish bilingual production of Guyi-Guyi: The Other Ugly Duckling, a story about a crocodile accidentally born into a family of ducks. Guyi-Guyi lives happily with his family until he meets another crocodile and realizes his true nature. After learning that he is not like his feathered siblings, Guyi-Guyi goes on a journey of self discovery and finds that he is more than what meets the eye. Through play and humor, Guyi-Guyi is a new take on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story The Ugly Duckling.
