Located within the 1,500-acre Lake Lanier Islands Resort, LanierWorld is home to a variety of attractions, restaurants, activities, and a beach and water park sure to thrill adventure seekers and beach bums alike. Comprised of the Family Fun Park, Big Beach, and Sunset Cove areas, LanierWorld offers everything you want from a day at the beach!
Head over to the Family Fun Park to get your day started right. WildWaves, a wave pool unmatched among Georgia waterparks, is a great way to launch your adventure. Hop into a tube and ride out the waves in the pool, designed for guests of all ages. On Friday and Saturday nights, float into Hollywood at Dive-In Movie Night to see a special family-friendly flick on the 200-foot outdoor movie screen, which you can watch from in the pool at WildWaves! If your family is feeling a bit more ambitious, give the Raging River a try. You can tackle the sharp turns and relentless rapids of ther river by yourself or with a companion. You can enjoy games, classic rides and tasty treats!
As if that wasn't enough, there are more options at Big Beach! Little ones under 48 inches tall can have a blast in Kiddie Lagoon and Wiggle Waves while older kids can climb, jump, bounce, and slide on the brand new floating playground, Aquatic Adventure!
What.... you want more excitement? How about their totally awesome water slides!! Race your opponent to the bottom of a super-fast, dual-flumed fiberglass body slide or slide down head first on a toboggan-style SplashDown slide. Kids and Adults alike love the short but fast body slide in total darkness of Blackout. The Intimidator tricks you with a few seconds of slow motion descent, before the bottom drops out. You’ll feel as though you’re free falling to a quick stop at the bottom and the Triple Threat offers three quick descents—throwing your stomach up into your chest!
Just as the name implies, The Twister is jam packed with exciting twists and turns, that shoots you through a fully enclosed 360 degree loop and into another tunnel before the final nerve rattling decline leaves you skimming across the water at the pool’s bottom. And finally, the Typhoon, famous for its high turns and rapid decline, will leave you feeling like you just survived a tsunami.
Sunset Cove has quickly become a hot-spot gathering location for locals and visitors alike! And why not... there's a floating stage for live entertainment, three delicious beachfront dining options, an expansive powder white beach, beach volleyball courts, and a new miniature golf course. Don't miss the FunDunker. Arguably the most challenging slide in the park! Riders climb four stories straight up to gain entry to this high-speed body slide that sends them spinning all the way back down to a final “dunk” into and eight-foot deep tank!
As the sun sets families can gather around two fire pits with Adirondack chairs to relax. You’ll never want to leave!
