The Forgotten Carols, a musical with the message of Hope and Redemption, is about Jesus and the miracle that is Christmas. Broadway and Hollywood actors are joined on-stage by local singers to tell the story of a nurse who finds the Lord. Nurse Constance has shut down at the holiday... but then becomes the care-giver to an unusual old man who tells her stories of people he has met from the Bible. He claims to be over 1,900 years old and reveals "forgotten carols" as he helps her deal with her past and become a believer again.
The story is told through the perspective of people in the Christmas story that have sort of been forgotten: Like the Innkeeper who turned away Joseph and Mary because he was just too busy. Or the shepherd that fell asleep and missed everything except the way he felt when he first heard the story from those who actually heard the angels and saw the baby in Bethlehem. These, and so many of the other characters you'll hear singing "forgotten carols" are really just like us...all of us...who discover that we get to choose, each hour of each day if we'll let Him in to stay. So as the Inn Keeper sings, "whether it be in your world today, or a crowded Bethlehem Inn, find a way, make room and Let HIM In.
