The Circus was FANTASTIC!!
Last Thursday night, my family was the guest of Feld Entertainment for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's newest show, Fully Charged, at Philips Arena. We had a terrific evening and loved the show!!
It all started with the Power Up Party, one hour before the circus started. We were down on the main floor to get an "up close" sample of what was to come. We got to pet some of the horses, meet the clowns and saw some amazing aerial acts. We also watched Anya the elephant paint a picture. She's quite an artist!
Then, we took our seats and watched a tremendous array of animals and performers from around the world. It was non-stop excitement the whole evening!
Some of our favorites were the 5 member Danguir high-wire troupe who performed a pyramid on two bicycles without any safety cables. This was incredible!
The dare-devil Fernandez brothers on the Twin Turbines of Terror were fantastic!!
I didn't get a picture of Brian Miser, the Human Fuse, but it was breath-taking to watch as they SET HIM ON FIRE, then launched him from a super-sized crossbow, at 65 miles per hour, 130 feet across the length of the arena!! Unbelievable!!
The 20-member Tianyicheng Troupe from China exploded into the arena on bounce stilts, jumping as high as 16 feet in the air! Their glow in the dark costumes were very cool! My son loved it so much that he came straight home, found the bounce stilts on the Internet and ordered a pair for himself!! (I hope they come with a helmet!!)
There were jugglers, dancers, aerial artists, acrobat troupes, clowns and strong men from around the world.
But the undisputed star of the show was the animal trainer, Taba Maluenda, with his beautiful, dancing horses, 100,000 pounds of elephants doing head stands and 12 ferocious Bengal tigers obeying his every command! He even kissed one of the tigers! This performance was fantastic!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the circus and would definitely recommend it for your family. They will be at Philips arena through Monday night and then move to the Gwinnett Arena.
Tickets start at $14.00. Click HERE to purchase tickets for Philips Arena on Feb 15-20. Click HERE to purchase tickets for the Gwinnett Center on Feb 23-26.
