TREETOP QUEST REVIEW

Zip, Jump,and Fly...oh My!!!

October 24, 2011

Treetop Quest combines zip lines with an airborne obstacle course for the most unique and exhilarating adventure course of its kind in Georgia!! But don't think that the adults get all of the fun. This is Ella Hamrick having a blast on the Chick Pea Course!! You will notice that her platform is only 3 feet from the ground. This course is specifically designed for kids from 4 to 6 years old and includes 15 obstacles including zip lines, monkey bridges, plank bridges, cargo net crossings and more. Children wear helmets, gloves, and their safety is ensured with a continuous life line system and an on ground supervisor at all times.

Treetop Quest provides fun for the whole family!  My family was the guest of Treetop Quest last week-end. This is the Park Manager, Cloe Amara, myself, my son James and his girlfriend Joell.

There are 5 courses divided by level of difficulty and ranging from low-intensity fun to physically and mentally very challenging.

You may complete as many courses as you can in 2 and 1/2 hours. We zipped right through the Blue Course, then progressed a little slower through the Red Course which was much more difficult.

Then, in a moment of insanity, we decided to try the Black Course. WOW!! What a work out! This course features high altitude adrenaline thrills with zip lines, Tarzan swings, tight rope crossings and flying foxes at heights of up to 55 feet off the forest floor!! The hardest obstacle is the Tarzan Swing that spans a huge gorge where you must let go, with both hands, the rope on which you are swinging and  fly through the air to catch a cargo net on the other side. Although you are attached at all times to a life line, mentally it is next to impossible to make yourself let go!!

Exhausted, we all made it through the Black course to claim our "Place in the Sun", but I definitely took a nap when we got home!!
