  • Monday, July 18 through Sunday, July 24 - 20th anniversary of the Centennial Olympic Games at Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center

    What ever happened to the Centennial Olympic Stadium? Who is Izzy? Did any Olympic events take place in Gwinnett?Find out the answers to these questions and more as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Centennial Olympic Games. The EHC will host a special exhibit this summer, featuring memorabilia and artifacts that highlight the impact that the 1996 Games had on Atlanta and Gwinnett. Don't miss this fun, summer exhibit.

  • Monday, July 18 through Sunday, July 24 - Stone Mountain Laser Show

    Every night!! This Atlanta favorite for more than 30 years, promises to wow your family with a 45-minute dazzling display of neon laser lights featuring characters, stories, graphics and fireworks choreographed to popular musical scores, transforming the park into a natural amphitheater. The newly transformed show is enhanced with Mountainvision, a digital projection technology that adds 3-D like effects without the glasses.

    The year's most popular encounter is back for this summer! Get up close and personal with hundreds of native butterflies surrounded by colorful nectar plants. Photo opportunities abound, be sure to bring your camera! Special visiting opportunities include CNC Members Only hours, Breakfast with Butterflies, and special evening hours at Sunset Sips!

    Teens learn how to code in multiple languages in a fun and fast-paced environment.

  • Thursday, July 21 - FREE Admission to Carlos Museum Every Thursday in July

  • Friday, July 22 - FREE Summer Concert at Newtown Park: Mother's Finest

    The Newtown Park Amphitheater provides a delightful venue for the new City-sponsored Summer Concerts. While food and non-alcoholic drinks may be brought in, contracted vendors provide a variety of catered food and beverages, including beer and wine. Seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome on the terraced lawn.
    Where: Newtown Park is located at 3150 Old Alabama Road directly across the street from Fire Station 63.
    When: 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM park opens at 6PM

    How: Show up! The rows of chairs under the amphitheater will be replaced with round tables that can be reserved online HERE. The arrangement will allow for more room for dancing.

  • Saturday, July 23 - Suwanee Movies Under the Stars- Double Feature!!

    Movies Under the Stars is bringing double features to Town Center Park this summer. Upcoming movie nights will feature films appropriate for young children on a digital board at 7 p.m. and movie selections for slightly older audiences on a big screen beginning around 8:45 p.m.7 PM: Kung Fu Panda 38:45 PM: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

    Repticon is excited to be back at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. Prices are unbeatable and the health of the animals unmatched, while the breeders and professionals are accessible for immediate advice. Repticon is proud to present an ongoing series of presentations covering a broad range of exotic animal topics, often includes guest interaction with the animals.

  • Sunday, July 24 - FREE Outdoor Fitness Class at Newtown Park- Zumba

    Looking to try something new or you just enjoy working out in a fun outdoor atmosphere, the Outdoor Fitness classes are a great workout. Certified instructors teach these popular classes and all fitness levels are welcome. Zumba is a popular fitness program that combines Latin music with easy to follow dance moves for an effective and exhilarating calorie-burning workout! There is no equipment needed for the Zumba classes. Workouts are held in the fresh air under cover at the Amphitheater at Newtown Park, which means classes can be held rain or shine.
