Georgia’s Lanier Islands Set to Sparkle Fourth of July Weekend!
If there’s one thing Georgia’s Lanier Islands knows how to do, it’s throw a party. With Independence Day just around the corner, the award-winning lakeside resort is gearing up for a four-day celebration that includes an amped up version of fun-in-the-sun at its LanierWorld beach, boardwalk and waterpark entertainment zone, as well as live concerts, patriotic food and drink specials, and – of course – fireworks.
“We invite our fans of all ages to come celebrate this great nation's birthday with us,” said Bucky Perry, Lanier Islands’ Director of Operations. Guests can ride over a dozen rides, water slides and attractions including Georgia’s largest wave pool, dip their toes in the lake, build a sandcastle while soaking up some sun on the pristine half-mile of white, sandy beach. There are several restaurants inside the park that offer great food and incredible views of the lake. There will be live entertainment on outdoor stages all weekend long, as well as regular appearances from Bucky the Beaver, LanierWorld's mascot. Ride down CAT4, the newest water slide and take a trip across the newly expanded Wibit aquatic obstacle course and enjoy fireworks over the water! It will be a jam-packed weekend, so whether you arrive by car, golf cart or boat, plan to arrive early and stay late!
Independence Day Weekend Schedule of Events at Lanier Islands:
- Thursday, July 2: LanierWorld open 10AM-9PM. Live entertainment on the Sunset Cove stage featuring John Amoroso from 4-7PM and Riley Biederer from 7-11PM
- Friday, July 3: LanierWorld open 10AM-10PM. Live entertainment on the Sunset Cove stage featuring Craig Gleason from 3-7PM, and local favorites – Samantha Stroh and Southern Machine – take the stage from 7 -11PM. Fireworks extravaganza begins after dark (weather permitting)
- Saturday, July 4: LanierWorld open 10AM-10PM. Guests can dance in the sand as KICKS 101.5 rocks the Big Beach stage. Former X Factor finalist and country music singer Skyelor Anderson performs at 4PM and native cover band Tiki Bros. will rock out some Buffett, Marley, Clapton and more beginning at 6:30PM. - Sunday, July 5: LanierWorld open 10AM-9PM. Live entertainment on the Sunset Cove stage featuring Johnny Summers from 2-6PM. Fireworks extravaganza begins after dark (weather permitting)
