Last Tuesday, my son James, his girlfriend Joell and I decided that viewing the Transit of Venus was a great excuse to hike up Stone Mountain. Even though it was cloudy and threatening rain, we decided we would risk it for the chance to track the path of Venus across the sun for the last time until 2117.
There is a $10 parking fee, but there is no charge to hike up the mountain or to stay for the free laser show at night. The 45 minute hike up was ...
