My Oh My, Watermelon Pie!!


Ingredients:

Lime Sherbet
Vanilla Ice Cream or Pineapple Sherbet
Red/Pink colored sherbet
Mini Chocolate Chips

Directions:

1.  For each flavor, you'll let the sherbet/ice cream soften for a few minuets before using.  The red sherbet should be mixed with the mini chocolate chips.
2.  Use a round spring-form pan.  You may want to line the bottom of the pan with wax paper or parchment paper if you plan to transfer the entire "pie" to another dish before serving.  The pie is actually cuter sliced and served on ...

Taught by veteran naturalist and ecologist Al Tate, ENWYC focuses on nature in and around the Atlanta area. The class is designed for parents and children to learn together about animals, plants and natural communities they find around their own home and neighborhood.
Bring your found “things”-- feathers, unknown plants, insects, wasp nests, snake skins, millipedes, leaves, unusual fruits, spiders, shells, or other unidentified objects to ENWYC. During each class, we start indoors with show-and-tell to give our children an opportunity to share their excitement with the class. The instructor will identify and comment on these items and then continue with a featured topic or activity.

At each meeting teens will preview a large selection of galley proofs sent from numerous publishing houses and select the new, as yet unpublished, titles they want to read and review. The best reviewed titles are sent to publishers to help them identify which upcoming titles will be the most popular. YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association) publishes the results 2-3 months before actual release dates. All teens are welcome to join this elite program (one of only sixteen in the country).

Presented by Paul Mesner Puppets, Wiley and the Hairy Man is an African-American folk tale that recounts the story of the strong bond between a son, Wiley, and his mother who live close to the Tombigbee River with their dog, farm animals and the friendly neighborhood pest – The Hairy Man. Wiley and his mother match wits with the hairy monster that lives in the nearby swamp. Through cooperation and listening Wiley works with his mother to drive away the clever menacing hairy man forever.
