Recycle Your Christmas Tree


The Christmas and New Year’s Eve holidays will soon be a memory. And once the Christmas tree comes down, you can give it new life by helping keep Gwinnett County beautiful.

Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful is asking residents to donate their trees to its annual "Bring One for the Chipper" tree recycling campaign. The trees will be turned into mulch to use in parks and other facilities throughout the county.

GEHC EXTENDS POPULAR LIVING IN SPACE EXHIBIT


The Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center (GEHC) is proud to announce that the Living In Space exhibit will continue its orbit at the GEHC until March 3, 2012.

The Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center (GEHC) is proud to announce a brand-new traveling exhibit called Living in Space that is inspired by the International Space Station (ISS) – the single largest international aerospace project ever undertaken by humankind. This partnership of 16 countries has opened up new frontiers of international cooperation, as well as the peaceful and productive pursuit of new worlds. The space station is the most powerful spacecraft ever built in orbit and is permanently crewed and operated 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
